How do I connect my Echo Bike?
Open Echo Bike Connect and tap the Bluetooth icon. Make sure your Rogue Echo Bike is powered on (pedal briefly to wake it up). The app scans for FTMS-compatible devices and will display your bike when found. Tap it to connect.
Which bike models are supported?
Echo Bike Connect works with the Rogue Echo Bike (also known as the Assault-style air bike from Rogue Fitness) that supports the Bluetooth FTMS (Fitness Machine Service) protocol. If your bike broadcasts FTMS Indoor Bike Data, it should work.
What metrics can I see during a workout?
The live workout screen shows six metrics: speed (km/h), cadence (RPM), power (watts), distance, calories, and heart rate (if you have an external Bluetooth heart rate monitor connected to the bike).
How do I upload a workout to Strava?
First, connect your Strava account in the app's Settings tab. After that, open any completed workout and tap "Upload to Strava." The app sends full trackpoint data including power, cadence, and heart rate.
Do I need a Strava account?
No. Strava integration is entirely optional. The app works fully offline — you can track and review workouts without ever connecting to Strava.
My bike isn't showing up in the scan. What should I do?
Try these steps: (1) Pedal the bike for a few seconds to wake up the Bluetooth module. (2) Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in your iPhone Settings. (3) Close and reopen the app. (4) Check that no other app or device is already connected to the bike — FTMS only allows one active connection at a time.
Where is my workout data stored?
All workout data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server unless you explicitly upload a workout to Strava. Deleting the app removes all stored data.
Does the app work in the background?
Yes. The app maintains the Bluetooth connection in the background so you can switch to other apps (like a music player) without losing your workout. The recording continues as long as the connection is active.
